We test one page at a time. The test is an automatic estimate, not an exact audit.

Analyzing the page…

Test your website against WCAG.

Since the Swedish Accessibility Act came into force, more and more companies need to be able to show that their website and online store can be used by everyone. Our free accessibility test gives a quick first picture of how a page performs against WCAG 2.1 levels A and AA. Read more in our Accessibility Act checklist, or let us carry out a full accessibility audit.

What is an accessibility test?

An accessibility test checks whether a website can be used by everyone, including people who use screen readers, navigate with a keyboard or have impaired vision. The test compares the page against WCAG, the international guidelines for accessible web content.

What does WCAG 2.1 level AA mean?

WCAG has three levels: A, AA and AAA. The Swedish Accessibility Act refers to the standard EN 301 549, which for web content means the criteria at levels A and AA must be met. That is the same level our test checks.

Is my company covered by the Accessibility Act?

Since 28 June 2025 the law applies to, among others, e-commerce, banking services and electronic communication services aimed at consumers. Micro-enterprises with fewer than ten employees and a turnover below two million euros are exempt when it comes to services, but not products.

How accurate is an automated accessibility test?

An automated test is an estimate. It finds some of the issues, such as low contrast, missing alt texts and form fields without labels, but misses many others. How the page works with a keyboard, a screen reader and in complete checkout flows requires a manual review. That is why only a manual audit gives an exact picture.

What does the test cost?

The test is free and requires no sign-up. You can test one page at a time, for example the homepage, a product page and the checkout separately.

How often should we test the website?

Test after every major change, such as a new design, new templates or a new checkout. New content can also introduce new issues, for example images without alt text. Many choose to do a full audit once a year and quick tests in between.
